Locker Room Talk

Locker Room Talk is a feminist-inspired and politically charged project. I am asking women to anonymously submit words and phrases that men have said to them that made them feel uncomfortable or upset. I am then taking these phrases and tattooing them onto fruit, which are then used in photographs. Tattoos have been a way for women to rebel for years, beginning in the late 1800s when women did not want to conform to Victorian beauty standards. The decision to use fruit came from the idea that as women are constantly bombarded with these negative words, they bruise and decay the way fruit do.
